The Tabata Training Session
January 7, 2014 / by Marco / Categories : ExerciseYesterday I completed my very first Tabata Training Session and now I’m feeling the after affects – my whole body is sore and in pain. This is a good sign I guess, it probably means I had a good workout or I’m just getting too old and my body is no longer coping to extreme workouts.
So what is Tabata Training?
I won’t go into the nitty gritty but here’s a link that details what it is: http://tabatatraining.org/
Here’s a video of an example of the Tabata Training session.
So what was the one that I did. Well here’s was the workout was (we used an smartphone app that had the beeping sounds):
8 sets of the following:
20 seconds squats
10 seconds rest
20 seconds mountain climbers
10 seconds rest
20 seconds burpee
10 seconds rest
20 seconds star jumps
10 seconds rest
Then there was another 4 sets of another workout after a short rest and I can’t really recall what we did because I was half dead and to tired. I look forward to the next session and I hope my body recovers.
